Job Summary:  Directs the day-to-day Finance operations for the agency. Performs bank reconciliations, produces income and expense reports as well as government reports. Creates and maintains a high-performance environment.


Reports to:    Director of Finance & Chief Financial Officer (CFO)


Job Duties:


  • Manages daily operations of IMPACT's Finance Department, including payroll, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Oversees compliance with funders’ fiscal requirements and ensures that timely reporting obligations are met.
  • Assists with annual independent audit and grantor program and fiscal audits.
  • Assists with agency and program budget preparation.
  • Assists with the Finance Director’s responsibilities in the event of his/her absence.
  • Complies with and ensures that compliance with Board-approved fiscal policies is maintained.
  • Maintains knowledge of relevant non-profit trends and legislation regulations, and makes recommendations to ensure organization compliance.
  • Oversees accuracy of fiscal records to ensure errors are corrected to satisfactorily meet the standards of audits and reporting.
  • Engages in fundraising and resource development as needed.
  • Provides project management as needed.
  • Monitors program implementation to ensure Agency compliance with funding sources, policies and procedures.
  • Ensures that grant goals and objectives are being met.
  • Ensures that accurate and timely financial statements are prepared in accordance with contract agreements.
  • Staff Supervision
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


Working Conditions and Physical Requirements:


  • Standard office environment.
  • Requires ability to operate telephone and personal computer for extended periods of time.
  • Occasional travel.

Minimum Education and Qualifications:


  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, or equivalent experience.
  • Five or more years of related work experience.
  • Three or more years of supervisory experience.
  • Experience with computer-based accounting programs, spreadsheet, and word processing applications.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience in working in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Able to work well in a team environment and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
  • Knowledge and familiarity with research techniques for fundraising prospect research
  • Possession of a valid Ohio Driver’s license and reliable transportation with personal vehicle insurance that meets the state’s minimal liability requirements and compliance with agency’s insurance carrier standards



CPA or CMA Certification.
